Color your world…

Well, it was one of the last boat rides of the season (extreme sad face:(((( ), but it was beautiful on the lake looking at the surrounding bluffs and shoreline.  The landscape colors made me start to think about colors I have used and loved on walls…(most thoughts turn to decorating and design in one way or another;))

I put together a collection of colors that have worked for me in the past (and I still love), and also ones I am using now..

Some colors (like yellow) can be really hard to pick.  Here are some of my favorite yellows… and they look good with painted white or stained wood trim.

BM Sparkling Wine is one of my favorites as well.  I had it in the mud room at my old house:

Gray has finally started to become popular in furnishings!  I have been using it for a few years now, and really had a hard time finding furniture, rugs and accessories with gray in them!  Now they are everywhere:)  I have lots of grays that I like…

Blue has always been my favorite color, whether it is turquoise, teal, robin’s egg or periwinkle.  One look at my closet and anyone can figure that out;)  Here are some of my favorites…

Palladian Blue from Benjamin Moore- love this color!  Slight green undertones…

Another great pale blue… BM Wedgewood Gray

Here is a fun blue I did in a girl’s bedroom- didn’t get a picture of it though… looked like this- BM Blue Hydrangea

This color I used in my laundry room at the old house.  A really pretty, soft blue (looks great against white trim) BM Harbor Haze
And finally… some greens!
A nice soft apple green (that looks yellow on the fan deck) is BM Mellowed Ivory.  I had this color in the office space I had in Prairie, and in my living room of the old house. This picture is off of Houzz, though.
The first green color that I had in my old living room was BM Georgian Green.  I loved that color too, but it is more of a sage green

A fun green that I put in a kid’s playroom is BM Dill Pickle.  Here is what that looks like:
And finally, these are the colors I am using in the cottage so far…
